Hello
Wendy,
Welcome to the world - and your very first
Christmas. At this special time of year I and my reindeers
fly around the world on the night before Christmas
delivering special presents to girls and boys.
But
one thing is certain – I only deliver presents to people who
have been good all year. So, I looked in my big book that
tells me all the
five month old
girls
in the world that have been good in 2008. And at the top of
the first page I saw the name
Wendy Patterson.
So,
I asked my little helpers the elves what I could possibly
bring
a new baby
as a present. They said that you might like a
cuddly toy.
Well that would be very special. I shall have to ask the
elves to search the Grotto very hard to see what they can
find.

I've heard that you are a very
special baby and you don't cry very much at night. I
also know that your Grandma Mary and Grandpa Tom think you
are beautiful too.
Mrs Claus has made some chocolate coins this
year, and I think they are delicious. I’ve put some in this
letter for you to try.
I
know you are still too young to take the wrappers off by
yourself but I'm sure you will still enjoy the chocolate
inside.
Well
we are all working very hard to ensure everything is ready
for Christmas. It’s a long way to
London and I
have to make sure Rudolph is fit and the sleigh is able to
take off – after all it hasn’t flown for a whole year.
So
Wendy,
make sure you are fast asleep before we
visit you and have a very, very happy first
Christmas
Lots
of love
Santa
